Rocky Point High School’s Quantum Chaos robotics team earned a second-place finish at the Fresh Meadows West Qualifier competition this January and received the Judges Award trophy in recognition of their effort, performance and dynamics.
The team, comprised of students in grades 9-12, has been meeting since September and began building their robot in November. The completed robot was required to meet a specific size and build limitations and be designed to accomplish certain tasks within 2 ½ minutes in a defined 12'x12' arena.
