Eighth graders in Mrs. Lauren Verderosa’s Living to Cook class donned their aprons for a festive lesson in baking Irish soda bread. To make things perfect, Mrs. Verderosa made a test batch at home and taught the students how to make the dough that rose overnight. The next day, it was ready for baking! The students put a different spin on theirs – instead of adding the traditional raisins, they sifted confectioner’s sugar on top. Yum!
