The Rocky Point School District has sent two letters to Governor Cuomo regarding easing mask mandates. The letters from Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Scott O'Brien, and the Board of Education, urge Governor Cuomo to restore local control to Boards of Education and give the district the opportunity to allow students to remove their masks if their parents agree.
