Dig Pink Game Raises Money for DezyStrong

The Rocky Point girls volleyball program came together for a Dig Pink game, supporting the DezyStrong Foundation. The DezyStrong Foundation is a nonprofit that provides those with cancer to have access to experiences that directly affect a positive mental well-being. The foundation was created in memory of Matthew “Dezy” DiStefano, a teacher and former athlete in the Sachem Central School District.

Members of Dezy’s family attended the game to cheer on the Rocky Point Eagles against the Wyandanch Wolves. Both the Rocky Point JV and varsity teams came out on top with wins, but the greatest accomplishment was raising $3,000 for an incredible cause.
