Hamilton Pays a Visit to RPMS

Rocky Point Middle School welcomed a special visitor when Hamilton, a police therapy dog, stopped by for a visit with sixth-grade students.

Hamilton comes to the school about once a month alongside his handler, Officer Politis with the Suffolk County Police Department. Recently, Hamilton joined Ms. Kelly’s ELA class, where students had the opportunity to ask Officer Politis questions and learn more about Hamilton and his role. Students were delighted to see him reading his commands during the visit. And yes… Hamilton can read!

Hamilton also made his way through the halls to visit other sixth-grade classes, where his appearance was a welcome sight for students and staff alike.
