JAE Ends the Year in a Burst of Color

Students at Joseph A. Edgar Intermediate School wrapped up the school year with colorful celebration on June 25. The schoolwide Color Run was the culmination of a Student Council fundraiser that raised more than $12,000. The funds will support future Student Council activities and help purchase a new gaga ball pit, a favorite physical education activity among students. Raising this amount of money also comes with another perk… sliming PE teacher Mr. Spallina, Student Council advisor Mr. Giannetto and Assistant Principal Mr. Paquette, which will happen right before dismissal on the last day of school!
Students wore white T-shirts and made their way around the course as colorful powder filled the air. Laughter and excitement could be seen everywhere as classmates, teachers and staff joined in the fun.
More than just a celebration, the Color Run was a chance for the entire school community to come together and recognize the success of the fundraiser while making lasting memories with friends before summer break. With colorful clouds overhead and plenty of school spirit on display, the event was the perfect way to close out another fantastic year at JAE.
