Frank J. Carasiti Elementary School's second graders celebrated their moving up ceremony on June 17, surrounded by proud family members and staff.

Students walked out onto the school’s back field to the tune of "Pomp and Circumstance." Principal Jason Westerlund then welcomed the crowd and congratulated the second graders on all they have accomplished this year. During the ceremony, each student received a moving up certificate before performing two songs, "Leaving on a School Bus" and "Onward," for their families and teachers.

The special event marked the end of their elementary school journey at Frank J. Carasiti and the start of a new adventure. In the fall, the students will head to Joseph A. Edgar Intermediate School as third graders.
