Congratulations to the talented student writers and artists recognized in Rocky Point Middle School's 23rd Annual Lois Lowry Literature and Art Contest.

Each year, students showcase their creativity through original poetry, prose and artwork, demonstrating the imagination, talent and dedication that make our school community so special. This year's contest featured an impressive collection of submissions from students in grades 6-8.

A special congratulations to eighth-grader Meridith Schmidt, whose artwork, "One Can Create Anything," was selected as the cover design winner for this year's publication. Schmidt was also recognized in the poetry category for her piece, "[A Reaper]."

We applaud all of this year's winners for sharing their voices, stories and artistic talents. Their work reflects the creativity and passion that continue to make the Lois Lowry Literature and Art Contest a cherished Rocky Point tradition.
