FJC Teddy Bear Clinic

Students at Rocky Point's FJC welcomed representatives from Stony Brook Children’s Hospital this morning for the hospital’s Teddy Bear Clinic, an injury prevention education program designed to teach young children important safety skills in a fun and interactive way. Our students participated in hands-on activities focused on passenger safety, water safety, and proper helmet use while bicycling and playing sports. The children also stepped into the role of medical staff, caring for their stuffed animals and treating their “injured” stuffies with bandaging materials. The Teddy Bear Clinic brought plenty of smiles and laughter to FJC, and the school is grateful for its continued partnership with Stony Brook Children’s Hospital. From wrapping bandages to checking on their stuffed patients, FJC students had a wonderful time learning through play!
