Frank J. Carasiti Elementary School’s 2nd Grade Chorus Performance

On Monday evening, May 4, 2026, the Frank J. Carasiti Elementary School held their Spring Concert at the High School auditorium. The FJC 2nd Grade Chorus, under the direction of music teacher/choral director Miss Anna Macedonio, performed a joyful, energetic and challenging selection of music. The children put on a delightful performance! One of the highlights of the evening was what is now a tradition at FJC Spring Concerts, Miss Macedonio accompanying the children on her ukulele while they sang, “Rainbow Connection,” made famous in The Muppet Movie. The audience burst into proud applause after the final song! Congratulations to FJC Chorus Director Miss Macedonio, FJC Chorus Assistant Ms. Mcguire, and the wonderful 2nd grade choristers!
A congratulatory message from Rocky Point Music Department Chairpersons Mr. Craig Knapp and Ms. Amy Schecher read: “It was a fantastic evening of joyful music making for Ms. Macedonio and the FJC 2nd Grade Chorus students. The 2nd Grade Chorus students worked very hard with Miss Macedonio in their many months of morning rehearsals to learn several songs and they performed beautifully. The children were so excited and they were beaming with smiles before, during and after the performance. Congratulations to Miss Macedonio, Ms. Mcguire and the 2nd Grade chorus students. We are very proud of these amazing student musicians and they deserve the highest praise for their stellar performance. Thank you to the families of these students for all of their support and encouragement. Thank you to all of the district administrators and Board of Education members in Rocky Point for their continued support of our music programs. We are very lucky to be one of the few schools in New York State that offers a 2nd Grade Chorus experience for our students.”
