JAE started the school year with kindness. From Sept. 15-19, students and staff took part in Start With Hello Week, a national Sandy Hook Promise initiative that helps young people break down barriers, combat social isolation and build an inclusive school community.

Throughout the week, classrooms featured special lessons, videos and circle-ups, along with daily announcements and lunch activities designed to help students start conversations and make new friends. On Sept. 17, students and staff wore green to raise awareness.

The week set a positive tone for the school year and highlighted students’ commitment to kindness, inclusion and connection.
