The Major Leagues for Rocky Point Alumnus

Cody Miller, a Rocky Point High School Class of 2022 graduate, has been selected by the Atlanta Braves in the third round of the 2025 Major League Baseball draft.
Cody was a standout baseball and football player for the Rocky Point Eagles before attending East Tennessee State University. While at Rocky Point, he was awarded four letters in baseball and three letters in football, and achieved All-Long Island Gold Glove honors twice, All-League, All-County and MVP honors.
Cody had a batting average of .422 during his senior season in Rocky Point, slugged .716, had 43 hits with five being home runs and 32 RBIs on the season under the leadership of coach Anthony Anzalone. He was also named a Suffolk County Zone Award winner. The Rocky Point Eagles varsity baseball team was named the 2022 Suffolk County Class A champions with Cody on the roster.
Cody was also a community-minded individual in high school, recognized for his involvement in the HEADstrong Foundation’s Attack Cancer initiative and spearheading a food drive with two of his teammates to aid those who sought services at a local shelter.
