Appreciation Day at Rocky Perk Café
Rocky Point High school students eagerly greeted guests to the Rocky Perk Café on June 5 for an Appreciation Day to recognize all the staff members who supported the café, Rocky Perk and Unified Sports teams throughout the year.
Breakfast offerings included homemade fresh blueberry muffins, chocolate chip muffins and raspberry crumb cake, along with iced coffee, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. For lunch, guests had a choice of chicken and vegetable tacos, along with a cold drink. Staff members from both the High School and Middle School enjoyed the festivities and camaraderie organized by Jessica Gentile’s Transitional Skills students.
The students took pride in preparing for the event, handling all the food preparations, seating the guests and taking lunch orders. Mrs. Gentile shared the recipe book that the students have been adding to, with plans to gift them to the students upon their graduation for the school.
