Rocky Point High School students Colin Ark, Daniel Lee and Virginia Villafane-Kaplan participated in the Rotary Youth Leadership Association of Rotary International District 7255 “Spark the Change” event recently. The event featured guest speakers who highlighted sparking the change at the personal, community and global level. 
 
The students were lauded by RYLA’s Director of Operations Tim Sims for continuing their leadership journey with the organization that aims to expand their future potential. “The Rocky Point students certainly contributed to the success of Spring RYLA 2025,” he said.

Mr. Sims also thanked Rocky Point High School guidance counselor Mr. Matthew Poole “who has been an incredible partner and leads the nomination efforts on behalf of the district every year. Year after year the Rocky Point community continues to impress our team with their enthusiastic participation in our program,” he said.
