Launching Back into Learning

There is always an educational opportunity in fun challenges at Rocky Point Middle School.
The school’s advisories welcomed students back from spring break with a lesson in the aerodynamic principals of paper airplane making. Students were tasked with creating their gliders with ideas for lift, drag and gravity at the forefront to see the distance they could travel.
“After we completed our airplanes, three advisories competed out in the lobby to see whose airplane would travel the farthest,” speech teacher Mr. Cooper said. Sixth-grader Braedyn Balg won first place out of nearly 30 airplanes!”
