Rocky Point High School English teacher Rachel Hludzinski and school librarian Jessica Sciarrone presented at the third Liaison Meeting for the Eastern Suffolk BOCES Library System members on March 20 at their Bellport office. 

There were 77 people in attendance from 35 districts across Suffolk County. The duo presented information on the process of applying for and receiving funds from the New York State Educational Media Technology Association. They shared how they used the funds to support Rocky Point High School students in the AP Capstone program with their verbal communication skills by purchasing equipment and technology for professional presentations. 

“We were excited to show a broader education community the great work Rocky Point students are doing to expand their digital literacy and communication skills,” Ms. Sciarrone said.
