RPMS PBIS Assembly
Rocky Point Middle School held a fun and engaging PBIS assembly, hosted by Principal Meyers and Mr. Stern, where teachers performed a game show skit highlighting the importance of positive behavior.
PBIS, which stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports, is an evidence-based program that helps create a safe, supportive school environment where all students can succeed. Through playful scenes, funny moments and Jeopardy-style questions, the teachers showed how to act responsibly in the classroom, bathroom, hallways and cafeteria while emphasizing the value of showing pride in one’s work, school and self. The humorous twist came when our “students” (teachers dressed as students) acted unprepared and didn’t listen, giving everyone a chance to reflect on the right way to make their school community a positive and respectful place.
