Rocky Point Union Free School District Universal Prekindergarten Program
For the 2021-2022 school year, there are tentatively 66 half-day program seats and 55 full-day program seats available pending NYS guidance and final allocations. The lottery drawing will be held in mid-June 2021, pending NYSED funding approval. Preschool participation has yet to be determined and specific school placement or AM/PM seats for half-day students cannot be guaranteed. The Frank J. Carasiti Elementary School will not be a placement option. The deadline had been extended to May 28, 2021, to submit an application for the UPK lottery.
In order to register for Universal Prekindergarten in the 2021-2022 school year, children must be four (4) years of age on or before December 1, 2021. Please complete the pre-registration survey below in order for the district to set up appointment dates/times.
NOTE: Students that are eligible to attend Kindergarten in fall 2021 may not register for the PreK lottery. Also, students must be potty trained to attend UPK. Three year olds are not eligible for the lottery.
