Middle School students are gearing up for the annual celebration of Earth Day on April 22 by planting an array of flowers and vegetables to grow. Along with teacher Mr. John Mauceri, the students are connecting their project with the school building’s theme “The Bright Side.” To share their kindness, each student will take one plant home and the other will be a gift to a faculty member.
“This is another multidisciplinary approach where we will be creating a bar graph from the data we are collecting from the growth of a sunflower, corn, morning glory, marigolds, sugar snaps and cucumber,” Mr. Mauceri said of the added science and math lessons from the fun project.
