Do you know what organization Clara Barton founded? Or what Susan B.
Anthony fought for? These and other questions were posed to JAE students
during Women’s History Month. As students continue to learn to read for
information, school librarian Mrs. Monica DiGiovanni set up a socially
distant scavenger hunt throughout the hallways for them to gather
details and learn about extraordinary individuals who made contributions
to history and contemporary society. Some of the facts they gathered
included Jane Goodall’s groundbreaking work with chimpanzees, noted
American author and disability rights advocate Helen Keller’s mark on
the world and Amelia Earhart’s solo flight across the Atlantic Ocean.
