While teachers and administrators throughout the district made returning
to school a positive experience, first grade teachers put an additional
fun and festive twist on being sure each student was comfortable about
wearing a mask. Keeping their friends, classmates and teachers safe and
reflecting on the approach and attitude of their families and teachers
has resulted in an all-around optimistic return-to-school experience.
“We thought it was a good idea to help the children be more comfortable
coming back to school as masked superheroes,” teacher Mrs. Carrie
Casswell said.
“The kids felt confident that if a superhero can wear a mask, SO CAN I!” teacher Ms. Elizabeth Filippi added.
