As a result of their scholastic capabilities, 69 Rocky Point High School students have been named Advanced Placement Scholars by the College Board. These honorees include current seniors and members of the Rocky Point High School Class of 2016.

Students earned these awards in various categories based on the number of AP exams taken and their scores on those exams.

Fifteen students were named AP Scholars with Distinction, as they received an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams. With average scores of at least 3.25 on all AP exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams, 15 students were named AP Scholars with Honor. Having earned scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP exams, 36 students were named AP Scholars.
