Celebrating Seuss

Frank J. Carasiti Elementary School kindergarten students in Nicole Gallino’s and Vanessa Horowitz’s classes honored the famous works of Dr. Seuss when they celebrated the author’s birthday and Read Across America day on March 2.

Dressed in red and adorning hats with a “Thing 1 and Thing 2” theme, the two classes shared their favorite Dr. Seuss books and completed writing projects. As part of their literacy lesson, they also explored the author’s signature style of writing and crafted a noticing chart to outline their findings.

They continued their study throughout the first week of March to further understand the classic writer.
