Based on the outstanding scores they received at last year’s NYSSMA solo evaluation festival, along with teacher recommendations, several Rocky Point High School students have been selected to perform at regional and state festivals.

As a result of their musical talents, Nicolas Amato (symphonic band), Breanna Garske (mixed choir), Samantha Giacoia (women’s choir), Daniel Infranco (symphonic band/mixed choir), Nicholas LoCastro (mixed choir), Thomas Loomis (mixed choir), Prima Mandolfo (women’s choir), Rosa Valente (mixed choir) and Justin Zorcik (symphonic band) will represent the district at the NYSCAME All-County Music Festival.

Daniel and Thomas were also selected to perform in the All-State Festival at the 2015 NYSSMA Winter Conference. Daniel, who was selected for two groups, will perform with the symphony orchestra, while Thomas will perform with the mixed chorus. Both students received a score of 100 on their NYSSMA solos.
