The Eastern Suffolk BOCES Model Schools 15th Annual Celebration of Technology in Education (CTE) was held on Friday, May 8, in partnership with Dowling College at the aircraft hangar of the Brookhaven Campus.

The aircraft hanger was filled with wireless-enabled PCs and MACs connected to the Internet and interactive whiteboards. Technologically inspired teachers and students from Suffolk County school districts, including 31 students and their teacher, Ms. Varriale, from the Joseph A. Edgar Intermediate School, showcased projects.

JAE Tech Integration Specialist, Laurie Varriale, received a Lighthouse award for her continued participation in the annual CTE event.

The focus of the celebration was to provide "live" demonstrations of the instructional technologies that are being used on an everyday basis in local schools to enhance learning.
