Kindergarten students at Frank J. Carasiti Elementary School were eased into the new school year during the annual kindergarten social. Dressed in multicolored shirts to represent their individual classes, the students played with classmates on the new playground equipment and enjoyed an ices donated by the school’s Parent-Teacher Association (PTA). Each class was then asked to congregate in the gymnasium and Principal Virginia Kelly read Marley Goes to School by John Grogan.

The day’s activities concluded with each student receiving a copy of author Natasha Wing’s book, The Night Before Kindergarten, to be read before the first day of school on September 2 and a performance by our nationally acclaimed Rocky Point cheerleaders.
