Incoming Rocky Point Middle School sixth-grade students and their parents were greeted by administrators, staff, and PTA members during the school’s fifth annual orientation. Sponsored by the PTA, the event encouraged newcomers to become acquainted with their school building and classmates prior to the opening of the academic year. Everyone in attendance also appreciated the culinary fare provided by HotDiggityDogLI.

Principal Scott O’Brien commented, “Coming to middle school is a new experience, and this event helps the incoming sixth graders become more comfortable with their new surroundings.”

After receiving their schedules, many students took the opportunity to locate their classrooms and lockers. In addition, middle school staff members were available to assist students with their schedules.
