Dear Parent/Guardian,

As you know, College Board has made significant changes to this year’s AP exams, in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Earlier today, College Board provided additional details regarding AP exams:

● Exams will be administered from May 11 through May 22. The specific schedule for each subject area can be found by clicking the following link: https://apcoronavirusupdates.collegeboard.org/educators/taking-the-exams/ap-exam-schedule

This link also contains specific information related to exam content for each test.
● Makeup test dates will be available for each subject from June 1–5.
● Exams may be taken at home, or in schools, if schools reopen.
● For most subjects, the exams will be 45 minutes long, plus an additional 5 minutes for uploading. Students will need to access the online testing system 30 minutes early to get set up. At this time, we strongly recommend that your child ensure he/she is able to log into his/her AP account. We do not have access to individual student account information, so you will need to reach out to College Board to address any log-in issues. The parent/student AP contact phone number is 888-225-5427.
● Students will be able to take exams on any device they have access to—computer, tablet, or smartphone. They'll be able to type and upload their responses or write responses by hand and submit a photo via their cell phones.
● College Board will be providing additional information for students in the coming weeks, to continue to help them prepare for exams, and the new exam format.

We will continue to share updated AP exam information as we receive it. We appreciate your patience, as we all work to navigate through these unique circumstances. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Melinda Brooks
